Formed in 2001, at the Royal College of Music, the Sacconi Quartet is rapidly gaining an enviable reputation as one of the outstanding quartets of its generation. The quartet have won many 1st prizes all over Europe and were most recently awarded an Angel Award by the Herald Newspaper for outstanding performances in the Edinburgh Festival. The quartet have chosen this evening’s programme to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Vaughan Williams’ death (1872 - 1958). |
