Note: This award-winning ensemble presents a journey through the many and varied
sound worlds of 20th century Europe. Oboist Nicholas Daniel stars in
Britten’s enigmatic Phantasy, whilst in Strauss’ Prelude, elegance is to the fore. The concert concludes with Schoenberg’s radiant and passionate post-romantic masterpiece, Transfigured Night.
