The Navarra and Sacconi Quartets gave their first concert together in early 2008 to a packed Wigmore Hall, where the two outstanding young quartets played Mendelssohn's passionate Octet, which he wrote at the tender age of 16. Brahms's two string sextets, both masterpieces, are played here alongside the Octet in a remarkable programme. |
