Note: The Powell Trio was formed in 2005 by outstanding graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. The trio are currently Young Artists in Residence at the University of Salford. Between them they have performed in venues across the UK and Europe, including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Bridgewater Hall.

Benjamin Powell studied in Manchester and Cologne and is a staff pianist at the Royal Northern College of Music. He will give a solo recital for the Park Lane Group in their 2009 New Year’s Series in the Purcell Room. Oliver Heath and Christopher Murray are members of the Heath Quartet, recently selected for the prestigious Young Concert Artist’s Trust.
