Note:
Professor Tracey’s annual visit to the Town Hall is invariably a major date in the city’s musical calendar. Much attention attaches itself to a performance of Pierre Cochereau’s Boston Symphony – a mighty work improvised by Cochereau on the Aeolian-Skinner organ at Boston Symphony Hall and transcribed from the composer’s recorded performance by English virtuoso Jeremy Filsell, recently appointed as Music Director at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC.
